Excellent accommodation in Pretoria East
Andante Lodge was honoured to host the entire Potgieter family from Thabazimbi this weekend. They got together in Pretoria for the final Affies rugby game of the season. Most noteworthy, Andante Lodge made sure they got excellent accommodation in Pretoria East!
The night before the game was a great opportunity for a relaxed family get-together before the excitement and pressure of the next day. What a lovely sight seeing a family enjoying an evening in our boma under the starlit night sky. A welcoming ambiance was created by surrounding fire torches and a very friendly bonfire. Varied conversation flowed naturally between three generations enjoying different opinions but staying in agreement.
In true “bosveld” style, finally the evening was rounded with a traditional South-African braai. The right sized steaks were done to perfection and consequently capped with a deserved freshly ground coffee.
Finally, the next day was a huge affair with the Lions attempting to win their first Super Rugby title in Wellington NZ. Locally, however, it was time for the greatly anticipated annual Affies/Boys High showdown. I made sure not to miss either one. The Lions affair created huge excitement and unfortunately not the desired result but gee-whizz, did the Affies teams deliver! I watched and thoroughly enjoyed the pen-ultimate game. Philip Potgieter excelled with the boot by contributing handsomely to a HUGE victory over Boys High. Must’ve been the steak he had the night before!
Andante Lodge enjoyed accommodating the friendly Potgieters and their deservedly, very proud grandparents. We proudly shared their elation after a successful rugby outing!
We strive to provide excellent accommodation in Pretoria East and sharing a page out of guests’ lives like we did this weekend, is great reward! Thanks to Wynand and Riekie and the rest of the clan, we enjoyed it tremendously!
Providing excellent accommodation in Pretoria East is our passion. Most of all, if you do it from the heart and connect positively with your guest, it comes naturally!
